Visited the green Khao Man Gai stall (right next to the famous Pink’s in Pratunam). Think of it as a Gai Yang version of Khao Man Gai — grilled rather than poached. 60 baht. The rice is on the moist side, with a solid garlic flavor running through it. The soup has a strong pepper kick. The chicken itself is grilled to a nice char with good seasoning. That said, grilling does shrink the meat, so the portion feels smaller than your typical Khao Man Gai. Flavor-wise though — solid.

Classic, no-frills chicken rice done right. The chicken was tender and flavourful, and you must, must try the bitter melon soup — it’s the best and a real standout. We went at night and there was no queue, which made the experience even better. A great spot for a satisfying, comforting meal
